Meet Allan and Melissa

A great couple with whom to work, Allan and Melissa are dedicated to their clients and exhaustingly thorough in their approach to real estate.  In order to serve the needs of both buyers and sellers they continually employ the most effective and up-to-date tools available to the industry. 

Each holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta with specialties in marketing and finance.  While living in Vancouver for 11 years, from 1986 to 1997, they owned and operated Goodmark Apparel, one of Canada’s largest licensed garment manufacturers.  Their company produced and wholesaled over one million garments per year featuring popular trademarks from Disney, Warner Bros. and other leading licensors.  Goodmark was sold to a Montreal-based competitor, at which time Melissa and Allan moved back to Alberta.

After receiving their real estate licenses in 1999, this dynamic husband and wife team joined Sutton Group Canwest, specializing in residential resale homes.  Over the course of two years with Sutton, they educated themselves to the industry while introducing innovative marketing plans which quickly separated them from other Realtors.  During this time at Sutton, Allan completed the Alberta Real Estate Brokers Program and passed the associated provincial licensing exam.  Of the almost 6000 licensed Realtors currently registered at the Calgary Real Estate Board, only 260 of them are Brokers.  In addition to selling real estate, a Broker’s license allows a Realtor to own and operate a real estate company.

In 2001, this entre-preneurial couple did just that and started their own real estate brokerage. While providing their clients with solid marketing and unparalleled customer service, success came quickly.  In 2001, this energetic team achieved their first of many “Top Producer” awards ranking them among the top 1% of all Realtors in Calgary.  And, by 2003, Allan was ranked 15th (based on number of homes sold) out of more than 5000 Realtors.  For seven consecutive years, up to and including 2007, Allan has been a member of the MLS Million Dollar Club and recipient of the Calgary Real Estate Board’s Award of Merit.  Most importantly however, Allan and Melissa measure their success by the achievement of common goals with you, their clients.

After having sold over 700 homes in Calgary, this successful couple has decided to relinquish the responsibilities of owning and operating a real estate brokerage in order to focus solely on selling homes.  Recently, Allan and Melissa joined Royal LePage, Canada’s oldest and most respected real estate company.  They are excited to bring their considerable experience and skills to join forces with a company that has unmatched resources in the real estate industry.
